Preamp pedals

I want to research preamp pedals for a powered cab setup and want to get my hands dirty but I only know of maybe 3 or so worth a look. What suggestions has this TB community?

I made my own. 2-band and 3-band.

I don't think he wants to get his hands that dirty.

I own and love the MXR M80. I own and quite like the Mooer Pure Boost. I don't own but LOVE and certainly would own if I didn't have a tube amp the Darkglass B7K.

I haven't been a huge fan of the SansAmp products I've used and the VT Bass definitely wasn't my thing. The Eden WTDI, EBS MicroBass II, Aguilar Tone Hammer and MXR M80 are the ones I was previously familiar with and have yet to try. I don't need the overdrive capabilities of many of these but I do need something versatile. I play a lot of funk, disco, soul and jazz and might be playing reggae in the near future. I also occasionally get the call for a small rock gig or local stage production that needs pit musicians. I've been using a GK MB2:500 but with the possibility of powered cabs on my horizon I'd love to find a great preamp I can fit in my gig bag.

I'll take a look at the Mooer and Darkglass. Thanks for the heads up on those.
