There are so many outboard preamps on the market. I curious which stomp box you like sonically. Please go to the poll! |

I've used quite a few preamp stomps (with a tube slave) on my board.
The DHA is my pick above the VT bass.
The centre of the low/bass EQ knob is perfect for heavy rockin lows. |

Not in my camp. There is a lot of stuff on that list that while part of the front end signal chain isn't actually a pre-amp...
Radial Bassbone ought to be on that list IMO.

Works well as I can pretty much get close to "my" tone with any amp/cab I may use. And while not a true "pre-amp" I have had to use it with nothing but a power amp in an emergency.

It's not your typical "preamp in a pedal", but I'd be surprised if you couldn't use it to dial in pretty good approximations of most of the clean preamps on your list (it has to have the most versatile pedal EQ I've ever seen!).
I also have the Sadowsky (the older belt-clip model), and it is pretty flawless for a bare-bones sweet tone for most occasions- I may not really need it anymore with the Empress around though!
(Excuse me while I return to my honeymoon with the Empress)

And it drives my power amp all by itself lonesome. Unfortunately there is a problem with the DI, but even though I bought it used, I am not paying ANYTHING to get it shipped to the UK for repair. Now THAT is customer service.
So yeah.
BIG +1 to Dave Hall.

(Excuse me while I return to my honeymoon with the Empress) | That product very, very interesting for me! Do you know how rated the input impedance? |

I looking for an active electronic in a pedal, but you can choice your favorite, for your needs in the poll.
