Pretty Impressed, SVT 410Hlf with GK MBE 212

Sign in to disble this ad
Hey all:

I just picked up a GK MBE 212 4ohm to go with my SVT 410hlf also 4ohm, I have an amp that will handle 2ohms.

My initial impression is the great deal I just got on the GK to "compliment" the SVT.

I read varying threads on the quality of the MBE cabs 50/50 good bad, the one I received seems to work well.

Anyone else with a similar combo or warning for me?

All comments appreciated as I don't want to miss my "retrun window" if I am missing something.

Thanks

You are mixing two different speaker cabs, it could sound great to you and or could be a disaster for live use. You can try it and see what your ears tell you.

I suggest getting two of the cabs you like the most and rocking that. I think the midrange response of the 212 will be much better than the 410hlf - the 212 might appear to be louder if you stack it on top because of that.
