Pro Bass Question.

Alright guys. I have decided on a rig for right now and I want to make sure its all good with power and such. I have a Carvin Pro Bass 300 head, Minimum 2 ohm impedance. and a Seismic 3x10 cab that is 4 ohm impedance 300 watts rms and 600 watts peak. Running my head parallel into the 3x10 I am assuming would be running about 175 of the 300 watts from my head. Does all this sound ok to you guys? Like, Will 175 power this cab sufficiently?

The Carvin PB-300 is 300w RMS @ 2 ohms and 175w RMS @ 4 ohms. Your cab will be OK.

Ya, it'll work fine. You don't have to have a certain amount of watts to power a bass cab that's rated for a certain amount of watts. That just means it's the maximum it'll take before you blow speakers. But it's not the maximum it'll take before it starts making funny sounds...that point is much lower, often as low as half the rated wattage. So 175w ought to about do it for you.
