So I just got my amp today, it was shipped from mussiciansfriend.com. I plugged it in and started playing, when i started to there was a crickett like noise, I replaced my amp chord but the noise is still there, any ideas of what it might be? |

| | | That's odd, I usually don't hear cricketts until after I stop playing...just a sea of disappointed stares from the crowd

Yeah, likely dropped somewhere in shipping. Send it back as damaged, have them send you another one. |

Get a new one. It should be under the return policy, if not, the warranty.

A good hard hit in shipping or poor assembly in the first place can make the coil rub. It sucks, but you're better off getting a new replacement rather than taking apart your new amp which would void your warranty and end up in failure anyway, unless you're very experienced with speaker repairs.
Of course, it could be a vibration/squeak of another kind, but again, it's new, just get another.
