Problem with Gallien 700 Rbii 210 combo castors?

Sign in to disble this ad
Hello all,

I got the combo mentioned above yesterday and am very happy with the sound out of it but nearly straight away when i moved it there was bits of plastice breaking off the casters and it doesn't roll smoothly and also is leaving black marks on my floor.

Anyone know what this is about or has it happened to anyone else?

Regards
Mike

Same thing happened to mine. The cab weighs too much for a plastic caster and you slap 70 pounds right down on top of them everytime you pick up up or set it down. I purchased replacement units from GK for around $15 each, but I think they were still plastic. I don't have the combos anymore, or I would see about swapping the wheels out of the mount and replacing it with something rubber/poly.
Good luck,
Wes

It seems like everytime I move it the wheels just fall apart even more. That's a bit silly isn't it?

The outer plastic "tire" is shattered and falling off of the "wheel". Just go ahead and knock the rest of it off. You will need to do the same thing to the other wheel too or the cab won't be level with one whell being bigger than the other...or replace the bad one.

I just took off the outer plastoc on the wheel off with a knife and it works fine for the moment anyways!

I think I have an extra replacement still at home. I'll see if the new ones are an improved design or not...
