Problem with my GK?

Sign in to disble this ad
I recently just bought a new 700RB II and 410RBXII cab, It is one week old and I notice Im hearing sounds, best described as vinyl poping sound like noises when Im playing.

Is there something that needs to be fixed? or is the rig just very sensitive so it is picking dust particles?

Thank you for your time.

EDIT: Think Im just close to electronic signals, I was close to my pc, when I moved away, it stopped. This may help people
experiencing the same.

A cell phone will also interfere if you get a call with it on top or very close to just about any amp!

^ +1 on cables.....are they new or oldies?

Popping is often a sign of intermittent breaks that open up and re-close as you move.

Your bass may be poorly grounded and subject to problems that can cause.

Cell phone, PC, bad ground, bad cables, etc etc... Lots of causes of that sort of stuff.

I used to have a wireless keyboard for my PC. When I would type while my amp was on (recording clips and looking up stuff), you could hear every keystroke through the speakers.
