Problem with my GK Backline 210 combo

First time poster, first of all I have to say I love the anti-spam verification you have. It keeps this a pretty exclusive community

Anywho I've had that backline combo for something like 5 or 6 years without a single problem but I tried to turn it on a few hours ago and nothing happened with the power light, didn't hear anything from the speakers but the "clip" light did come on when I had the power switch on.

I'm wondering if it might just need a cleaning, especially living in the dusty desert climate that I'm in, that being Marble Canyon, AZ. We are basically upstream on the Colorado from the Grand Canyon but we sit much lower than either rim and are in pretty much a dustbowl desert. The red sand from the sandstone basically gets everywhere.

Hopefully one of ya'll has a simple solution to this. Other than this though I really love this amp, like I said not a hiccup in 5 years and man it sounds great, goto love that GK growl (especially for being my starter setup ).

Haven't heard of this one yet but I'm still fairly new to what goes wrong with GK amps as they don't usually fail.

Contact daniel@gallien.com, he is the GK tech in the California factory. Don't bother telling him about the dust or where you live or anything because he likely won't respond if you do. Just tell him what's wrong with the amp, that you love the amp and they will either tell you the quick fix if there is one or they will arrange for you to ship it on in to the factory for repair if you want. Jon might chime in on this thread later with a solution, we will see. Hope for the best!

Check for a fuse holder back by the power cord somewhere. You might have blown it because it's so gunked up the fan no longer pushes the air across the heat sinks the way it should. If you replace a bad fuse, vacuum all the dust out of it, and it still blows another one when you turn it on, then it's probably tech time.

I already searched for the fuse back there and there isn't one, it's internal. Sucks too because I've got a full dresser sitting on top of it so gonna be fun getting it out to work on it.

You might try posting this question in the GK forums too.

My guess is a fuse. You say you have a dresser on top. Is the amp getting any air circulation. If not that could be a heat problem (not fun)
