| Promethean Amp Head & Clipping

I'm considering the Promethean amp to go with an Epifani UL2-110. I've watched several Youtube videos and it seems that the Promethean clips and distorts very easily. I'm only interested in hi-fi clean sounds. So, my question is, "Can the Promethean create a clean modern hi-fi slap tone at a reasonable volume level without clipping?" I'll go to GC to check it out during the weekend and need some ideas about the amp.
