So im looking for a cabnet (1x15 or 4x10 havent decided yet on size) to pair with my LH500
ive been through:
SWR Golliath 2
Ampeg 6x10 Hlf
Behringer 4x10 (it was my first cab so dont be too hard on the behringer part :P)
Im looking for a cab that wont add color to the bass. I like the way the bass sounds, i dont want to hear the cab and amp (i ifnd the LH500 does this well, but i cant find a cab to pair it with)
Does such a cab exist?
4 Ohm preferd
Thanks for any help! |

Been there done that with the 410/115 setup and not ever going back to it...it was ok and alot of people like it...i just found the 115 to be the week link of the setup...and now since i have been running 810's....there just is nothing that quite compairs to the power they have!! All the best Cheers mate!!

| It depends on how you look at it, but snarky comments aside, to me this means you have the ability to EQ in/out a wide range of tones from middy/grindy to boomy.
Try some of the Hi-drive Hartke cabs. A pair of the Hi-drive 112's, OR one of the 4Ω Avatar TB153 three way 15"s, they're probably about as "adjustable"/uncolored as you'll get for the price.

An Ampeg 810 fits across the back seat of an '04-'08 4 door Accord. I found that out from a fellow TB'er and it gives my hope my Genz Benz 610 (which is shorter but deeper) might fit in my '07.
My old '05 Civic Si hatchback could eat two 810's side by side if you dropped the rear set and probably another on top of you got very brave. I'm sure your car could hold a quality 610 if it's a 4 door and you found one at the right price. (The Ampeg 610 is not quality IMO. My Genz Benz blew it out of the water. I A/B'd them before purchase. The price was the same too! What a rip off!) Quote:

If you feel you'd need two of these, you can find a used, quality 8x10 for the equivalent cost. |

Even then, most headphones or earbuds color toanez too, so basically you just need to hold the bass up to your ear and pluck. That's the "truest" you'll get to no coloration. |
