PV Max 700 with (2) 4 ohm Avatar B212s? Anyone running similar?

Picked up a Max 700 head for next to nothing. I was going to try two 4 ohm 2x10s but I think a pair of 2x12s is better suited (B212 rated at 1000 watts). One cab and 500 watts for practice and small clubs (we're often umic'd), and adding the second B212 for the full 700 watts for outdoor shows.

Anyone ran a B212 with the PV Firebass/Max heads? What'd ya think? Did it have a certain flavor?

Hey! hold up there!

I have a Peavey Mark VIII XP which is a little older than the firebass I believe. IMHO you should go with two 8 Ohm cabs. You wont really notice the difference in volume. What it will allow you to do is expand to a different amp should you choose to.
