It simply is not the base of getting a tone like that.

BTW, the vid is gone

Anyone got info on Inez's pedalboard yet?
But I DID get it, thx to years of G.A.S. and experimenting with stuff here on TalkBass. :=) New link here, sorry 1st post is old and wouldn't let me edit.

Did get what? The tone? Did you need a large pedal board to get it?

Yes, pretty close to the tone, fairly large board, detailed in post #18.

The Zoom B2 is worth many pedals in a smaller footprint: limiter, octave down, Sansamp clone, eq, chorus-ensemble. I bet he has a volume pedal and a wah on there too. That's why I resurrected this, to see WHO HAS PICS OF INEZ' BOARD?

Thx too for pointers to the Spector clips, but way too tame: think intro to "100,000 Years" from Kiss Alive or "Red Barchetta" then listen closely to Inez' tone beneath the solo. His lows are loose and clean, his mids fairly growly, and underneath is a Motorhead-type full-on trebly distortion: so cool. No blendable od pedal alone sounds like that, Boss, Tech21, Way Huge, DarkGlass, etc (see EDIT below).

EDIT: Here's some Tronographic Rusty Box clips. The beginning of clip #4 sounds very close to what took me 5 pedals to get: http://soundcloud.com/silky-smoove/s...usty-box-demo/
