question about ampeg SVT speakers

Sign in to disble this ad
So, im probably going to get flamed for this, but i honestly dont know this stuff.

Ive got two bergantino 112s. Can i hook them both up to an old SVT?

Is there any way i can hook up the two berg 112s and another 410 cab to the SVT?

How would i go about doing this?

thanks

What is the impedance of the Berg 112s? What about the 410? How old of an SVT are we talking?

If the two 1x12 cabs are 8 ohms and have parallel jacks, and then 4x10 is 4 ohms, you could plug the two 8 ohm 1x12s into one out on the SVT (daisy chain the second from the first) and the 4x10 into the other output. If your SVT is a vintage piece, it won't have an impedance switch, but plugging into both output jacks will tap the 2 ohm winding on the transformer, which is what you would be giving the head in this case. If it's new enough to have a switch, make sure the switch is set to 2 ohms.
