Question about connecting a gkmb210 to a Eden Nemesis RS115

Sign in to disble this ad
I have a Nemesis RS115 that crapped out on me last week. In a bind, because I had 2 shows that week I picked up the GK MB210. Would it be safe/possible for me to use the Nemesis's 15 powered by the GK? The nemesis speaker is 8 ohm's and the GKMb210 is capable of using a 8 ohm extension speaker. If it is safe/possible how would I hook that up? Thanks in advance.
Ryan

as long as they're both 8 ohms, should be fine. just watch the power with the nemmy speaker. 250w would probably be a bit much for it so just don't drive it really hard and you should be fine.

not really sure how those hook up. are you talking about physically taking the amp out of the combo box or just unplugging the speaker?

I need to find a way to run the rs115 through the gk. There is no input on the back of the rs, so I thought I could get to where the speaker hooks up by removing the amp from it. http://www.eden-electronics.com/prod...ies/rs115.aspx

You would need to modify it, by disconnecting the speaker from the amp, and wiring in a 1/4" input jack for it. If this is beyond your capabilities, take it to an amp tech and have it done right. Shouldn't cost much at all.
