Question about GK MB210 background noise

Sign in to disble this ad
Is pink noise noise through the speakers common with these amps?

It doesn't affect the overall sound of the bass but I can clearly hear other stuff going on when I stop playing. The master volume has the biggest effect on how loud it is. Following the manual, I usually set the master to 3 o'clock and adjust the gain until I get the level I want. Boost usually is set around 12 o'clock.

By "pink noise", do you mean hiss?

I've found that some G-K amps are a little hissier than some others, but it's never presented a problem for me either live or in studio.

That's very similar to my usual settings for 800RB and 700RB II.
By doing that though, you are reducing the signal to noise ratio, but again, it's never been audible enough to notice when actually playing with a band.

Yeah, some hiss. Not like when the horn is on. Best way I can put it is that you know the amp is on even when you're not playing.
