I have an M-pulse venture 600 2x10 combo. I want to use the ext. out to power another 1x15. Apparently i cant do that. soo...
1. why not?
2. why does the back of the amp say 2 or 4 ohms?
3 is there anything i can do that doesnt involve spending $400 on 2 new mesa speakers?
This thing is heavey as hell and if i cant figure this nonsense out, I'm going to buy a new amp and trade this **** in.(which i really dont want to do since it sounds AMAZING just want a little more low end) |

If it is an 8ohm cab, you're good to go. If it is 4ohms, Mesa doesn't recommend it.
Here's a link to the manual.....if it helps: http://www.mesaboogie.com/manuals/M-Pulse.pdf

If you add another 4 ohm cab, you'll be at 2ohms. If you add an 8 ohm cab, you'll have a nominal load of about 3ohms.

The M-PULSE provides two 1/4 inch speaker jacks for powering speaker enclosures. The recom-
mended speaker load impedance for the M-PULSE is 4 Ohms at which the mighty SIMUL STATE power section is capable of
delivering a whopping 625 watts RMS before clip and peaks of over 2000 watts! A speaker load of 8
Ohms may also be used though the overall power will be reduced to roughly 300 watts using this rate of
impedance.

I personally would not recommend doing that.

I run my Walkabout, M6 and M9 at 2 ohms pretty fequently due to my cabs...the MP6 really did not like that, even not being pushed hard.
