Question about moding a VB-2..

Sign in to disble this ad
Is it possible to add a blend option for both channels?

I found that the dirty channel by it's lonesome really eats the the low end out of the sound. I'm thinking that the only thing more I could want out of this amp is to be able to blend the two channels.

How many inputs does it have?

Like, actual, physical input jacks?

If it has two for each channel, then you could try bridging them....

High and Low.

I know what your thinking about using a patch chord but this would require some actually under the hood modding. I guess what I'm asking the collective wisdom of the amp forum is would it be feasible?

Just add a small on/off switch that bridges them.

I think the OD and clean go thru the same input the 2 inputs are for high/low gain for active and passive basses.

your dilemma is part of the reason why i favor pedals for dirt instead of channel switching. unfortunately, bass amp manufacturers have seen to it that switching between clean and dirty on the same amp is unwieldy and difficult.

I'll check out that forum.

I guess what I'm hopping for is something like a guitar amp. I have a modern Randall that has a 3 button foot switch that allows me to blend all three channels at will.
