Question about new EA amp pro tone

I currently have a mesa boogie 400 that I love. My question is has anyone played with the EA amp pro tone controls? Reason for this question later on in the text.

Is the amp strickly clean sounding?
How would you describe the colorations of the amp once you play with the EQ settings?

My curiousity started when I read that Dingwall "likes" the sound of the EA amps. Hmm. I already have an afterburner II with a Lee Sklar on order. Both I am sure will sound great with my MB 400. But..I am wondering if I am missing out on something. So TB'ers opinions would be great.

Thank you.

I have an iamp 500 and it is a VERY clean amp. For distortion or OD I go to a pedal. The tone shaping takes a little while to get used to and the presets are very usable. Not much coloring, you will hear what your bass sounds like. I would say the amp enhances tone rather than coloring your sound like a tube amp would.
