Often I see bass rigs with multiple preamps. An example would be someone with an active bass running into some sort of stand alone preamp like stompbox or rackmount then into a normal bass amp.
So my question is how many preamps can be added in the signal path until it starts to adversely affect the quality of tone?
I would imagine that using multiple preamps will add gain, but how much can you "juice up" your tone until you blow up something? |
