Download the manual from GK's website, it'll answer all of your questions...

The manual is a VERY good idea! You are only getting 225 watts. You can make a standard speakon a bridge cable (left side speakon switched in bridged mode 700 watts), mark one end as amp only, on that connector move the wire in 1- to the 2+ pole.
DO NOT RUN a speakon from one side and a 1/4" from the other side to the same cab. You will need a new amp (or at least a good tech and a good sized wallet).

You can buy a 1/4" to 4 pole speakon speaker cable just about everywhere.

Sell that amp before it melts on you and get an 800RB, a 700RB, a 1001RB-II or a 2001RB. Cheers.

Yeah, sell that 2000RB. They had a critical design defect - that's why they replaced it with the 2001RB model.

I was one of the suckers that bought a new 2000RB when they came out, sent it back for warranty repair, had to wait MONTHS and endure all sorts of excuses then complain just to get it back, in working order, just to have it crap out on me on the first gig back.

Run from it. Run away.

I have a 2000RB, it is a year 1999, no issues whatsoever for as long as I've owned it save for some sticky relays (easy drop-in replacement, could happen to any amp w/ relays) I can run it hard in bridge mode, no overheating. B-String just helped me upgrade the five opamps in the preamp, man now it sounds just godly. It'll never leave my hands. But yes, B-String had it right, at 8 ohms you'll get 225 watts out of your amp. You never want to have more than one speaker cable running in to the same cab at the same time! Just run one 1/4" cable from whatever side you like and call it a day. Your cab is only 500 watts(?), bridge mode would blow it fast.
