Question : Ampeg B200R reliability issues ?

What are they? Did they all have them or is it a QC issue? Can I spot them while trying one at a store? I tried one and I liked it... I just wanna determine if it's in the race in my final amp shootout or not. Thanks !

From what I've read it was mainly a QC issue. Some of the early ones from Asia had rattles and buzzes from the cab and chassis. If the one at the store sounds good and doesn't have any obvious deffects, I'd go for it. FWIW, I have a B-100R and love it to death.

I seem to recall there was some issues with using the tweeter disconnect. I remember there was either an issue with the amp dying after the tweeter was reconnected, or the tweeter wouldn't come back on or some such issue. I'd research that issue here on TB and then test the one in the store to make sure that it doesn't exhibit that problem.

I've slept since I read that and I've never personally experienced it, so take my comments with a grain of salt.
