At what point does your B25-B break-up ? Mine is breaking up with the volume at about 9 o'clock which seem way too early to me. Thanks!

Sounds early to me too, unless of course you have an extremely hot bass or you're really cranking the lows. Might need rebiased or something.

I am no expert, but from my experience with these amps is that you may have your power tubes biased too hot, or maybe you even have a higher gain 12ax7 in your preamp. These are the first two things that lead to your premature distortions.

Ps. Mine breaks up at about 10:30 with JJ 7027As, a stock ampeg tube rectifier, and new stock ampeg branded 12AX7s.

I forgot to add that i use an active shecter bass with EMG humbuckers, so that may be why it breaks up at 10:30 instead of 11

I am using passive basses through it. Everything is bone stock including the Magnavox tubes. I felt like it was breaking up too early and you guys have confirmed it. I'll take it to a tech for a check up. Thanks
