Question with running 2 cabs together.

I know mixing cabs isn't ideal, but I have two cabs by the same manufacturer with the same drivers. One's a 610 and the other is a 210.

My question is regarding ohms and how the speakers will react to my head.....

The 610 is 5.3 ohms. The 210 is rewired to run as 16 ohms (it has 2 8 ohm drivers, wired in series).

If I plug my head into both cabs, would each speaker get the same amount of power?
Would the total load be 4 ohms?

Yes a 5.333 Ohm impedance in parallel with a 16 Ohm impedance will be a 4 Ohm total load.

If I'm running one of my amp's output into cab 1 and the other into cab 2, that's parallel?

I'm mainly concerned because my head, like most others, can't go below 4 ohms.

I expect that the output jacks are wired in parallel.

1/5.33 + 1/16 =
3/16 +1/16 =
4/16 = 1/4

Take the reciprocal and get 4 Ohms.

Dude ... play the 6x10 and be happy ... that cab will work in pretty much any band situation you run into.

I went to Bass pro shop and to my surprise they didn't have a single bass guitar.

It's more of a hypothetical (although these cabs do exist) to help me understand how this stuff works. I doubt I'll be doing this, just curious.

yeah, that should work out just right.

the 5.3Ω 6x10 could theoretically be three 16Ω pairs of 8Ω speakers, so the 4th 16Ω pair would fit right in.
