Well, at the moment, I am playing through a Little Mark Tube 800. The cab is a travler 102p on top of a GK Neo 4x10. I am playing on a Spector Euro4Lx (
Stuart Spector Designs, LTD - Makers of fine electric and bass guitars: UNCOMPROMISING QUALITY | UNPARALLELED VERSATILITY | UNBELIEVABLE SOUND)
The other night, I played a show, and the clip light on my head kept flashing. My speakers were going crazy. This happens occasionally when I cannot get a good balance between the horns and bass. Is there anyway I can play with more volume without it being a detriment to my equipment? Even with my gear, I find it difficult to get a good loud sound.
There are two knobs on my head labeled: VLE (Vintage Loudspeaker Emulator) max. range cut: 250 Hz – 20 kHz
VPF (Variable Pre-shape Filter) center frequency 380 Hz (cut).
I used them a lot before I got the MarkBass cab, but they take away from the sound. What are the uses for these knobs?
Anyway, I hope I gave enough background info for the questions to be answered.
