questions of cabs for low B string

When I look at the freq range of cabs & the freq if low B string most don't fu low enough but few players seem to use specialized cabs for low B so what gives, does it matter all that much?

That bottom octave is nice if you can get it from the cab, but it's not necessarily where your bass is putting out its signal.

Short answer: it's not necessary to produce the fundamental at all. Your brain figures it out based on the higher harmonics, so you 'hear' it even though it isn't there. Neat stuff.

If you're finding that most smaller cabs aren't giving you what you want for lows, look into some of the DSP options available. Like this great unit that is now out of production, but can be had at a good price:
