Quick Hartke question!

Sign in to disble this ad
Hey guys, really quick question for you.. I have a bloke interested in buying my old Harkte 3500A, but he is going to move to the US before too long (from Australia), would he have any trouble with the power supply in the amp and volts and what not? I don't know much about this, just that some amps need switching over and some have a switch or something? I don't have the amp with me so I can't check..

Thanks!

i believe he would, indeed. old amps aren't known for having universal power transformers.

When I say old I only mean about four years, but I don't think they've changed design in a long time so it probably still applies. I guess it would be unethical to sell it to him then, that's a pain as he gave me a really good offer!

Oh well, thanks Jimmy!

well you said it was old, and now you say it's only 4 years old. old to me is 20 years

anyway, just looked it up...it can be done, and it looks like it can be done by anyone. see pg 62:

Haha, good thing I clarified then! I'm very glad of that, been trying to sell this for months and really didn't want to have to turn down an offer!

Thanks heaps for that, really appreciate it!
