quick tech question

Plz correct me if i'm wrong here.

I have a little mark 800.
800 at 4 ohm, 500 at 8 ohm.

It has two speaker outputs.

If I hook up a single 8 ohm cab from 1 output, it would put 500w into it.

If I use 1 output to a single 8 ohm cab, and the other output to another 8 ohm cab, the total load is 4 ohms, each cab is gettin 400w (half of 800), and this is a parallel connection?

Is that the correct way to hook up my two 8 ohm cabs? Is any of that wrong?

Thanks in advance.

Yeah, that's right. Running two cords out of the head, one to each cab, or running one cord from the head to the first cab, then a second cord from the first cab to the second one will give you the same 4 ohms either way.

You could also run the head to a single 4 ohm cab, but then you're at your limit. Can't add a second cab to that.
