Rack case for Tour 450...

Sign in to disble this ad
I have a Peavey Tour 450 amp and I'd like to get something to carry it in. I don't really need a heavy duty case...the amp usually rides in the front seat of my truck. I'm just looking for something to make it easier to carry making it less likely to drop. Now I never had a rack case or even bag to carry an amp head. Do I need a 2 space, 3 space, 4 space? I'm not sure what I'm looking for. Any ideas on what's out there that would benefit me? If you have any pictures it would help too...I like pictures. Thanks.

You need a 2-space rack for the head only. Buy a 3 or 4 if you think you may want to add another piece of gear like a tuner, compressor, or effects processor.

The Tour pulls in air from the side vents and exhausts from the back. Make sure that the case you get leaves some air space on the sides.

That may be hard to do just by looking at the cases on-line. I mean knowing if there's enough room on the sides.
