Rack dual preamp question

Sign in to disble this ad
I have a rack that contains the following:

crest ca6
demeter vtb201s
sansamp rbi
compressor
tuner

is there anyway to hook this all up so that I can plug in one place and switch between the preamps, or better yet be able to blend them? they're both great but on diff ends of the spectrum and it's nice to have both available but as it stands now I have to completely unplug one to get the other going.

A small mixer. Rack mount or resistance like the old DOD 240 and ART units.

so with the DOD thing I can see connecting the 2 preamp outs into the DOD....but how do I get the tuner connected to both preamps, and the compressor?

Check out the Boss LS-2 (Line Switch - 2) It's exactly what you are describing.

There is an easier way to blend them - plug your bass into the RBI and take the uneffected output on the back of it into the input of your Demeter. Take the preamp out of the Demeter into the effects return of the RBI with the 50/50 mix engaged. The master on the Demeter will control the overall mix of the two, and the master on the RBI will serve as the overall master.
