Can't seem to find a decent thread pertaining to a proper rack build, but I'm sure there is one. Can someone link me? For what it's worth, I'm racking an ampeg pro5, bbe sonic max, alesis power conditioner, and dbx eq. Stereo cables or mono? What order? Fx loop? |

I mostly use balanced TRS, or XLR. It depends on the gear. If the gear is unbalanced , balanced cables won't help. Sometimes, when combining balanced, and unbalanced gear, a custom cable can cure noise problems.

The only thing I do differently is to put the BBE last in the chain (that is what they recommend in the onwers manual).

Pretty important for very high wattage amps.
