Rack Sleeve for SVT 2pro

Sign in to disble this ad
is anyone making any cases like the disconued SVT RC-4 ?

i tried building a box myself but it looks like **** but i'm mostly worried that it's not sturdy enough.

putting it in a rack case also looks lame imho.

this is much sexier

or should i not even bother since i hope to sell it to fund an svt-vr anyways eventually... she sounds great but sure is fugly.

I think the SVT-RC looks better than the RC-4.

TBH, I'd just go with a flightcase, it'll give you that bit more protection too.

If you are planning to buy an SVT-VR in the near future, maybe better just saving the cash and putting it towards that? I'm sure the value you sell the 2-Pro for will get you pretty close to what you need for a used VR!

Any deep (19"?) 3 (was it 3?) space rack will handle the 2 or 2 pro IIRC. I never even racked my II. Nevermind, don't listen to me. I never found a rack for it.

The II & 2-Pro are 4U.

I don't believe you can put one in just any rack case. The vents are on the side. My 2Pro goes into thermal protection mode when mounted in my $450 shock mount SKB. What a waste of $450. Never shut down until I put it in the rack. Works fine unracked.

i have mine in a grundorf 4U rack case and it never overheats, and imo, grundorf cases look pretty cool. i installed two extra fans on the back grill to help with cooling and ive never had any problems. just regular old computer fans.

Hey oink, don't know where you are, but I read your post and found one in San Fran, on CL.
