Raising the Amp
finally, my amping-GAS has come to an end.
Initially, i planned to downsize a lot from an old Peavey top and 410+115, but in the end i found myself with two aguilar GS212's and a tonehammer on top. Looks sweet, sounds even sweeter and actually is a lot smaller than the last amp, with the more compact cabs it's easier to schlep and it (just) fits into my rather small car.
Also, i don't care what the rest of the band throws at me, i can be louder without running out of headroom. With the master set to 1 o'clock, my vision blurs when i go below G.
This said - i'm happy.
The now smaller amp also sits a lot lower and i don't have some of the speakers at ear level. Mounting the rolls to the lower cab has raised the whole thing some, but not enough.
Since the positioning of the amps in the rehearsal room is not ideal, i'd like the amp sitting higher, about a foot or little more would do the job. I don't want my brand new fullstack sitting on some cheap looking makeshift duct-tape-and-beer-crate-construct, but something clean and nice looking - any suggestions ?
