Been surfin the classifieds, CL and shops for Head options, and I've come across two that fell straight from my short list: an HA2500 (older with rack ears) priced at $150 and a 200w version 400rb priced at $199. Both have a few scratches on top, but both work.
I've played both, and regrettably, like both. I played both for a bit and I feel like either could work for what I'm doing, three piece alt rock with guys who are conscious of stage volumes. I've heard alot about the 400rb, but most of what I'm reading are general compliments. The ha2500 I've heard very little at all about.
Anyone have any real world experience with these things, maybe something specific like "it blows fuses constantly", "it HATES active basses", or how high the signal stays clean before the signal gets clippy?
