Read Purity preamp question

Sign in to disble this ad
Hi all!

Just picked up a Read Purity preamp and absolutely thrilled with the sound and build quality.

However, I'm a bit concerned about how hot it gets. I checked the temperature of the underside surface of the casing on the right hand side and it was 96 degC...... Presumably the mains transformer sits just above where I took the reading.

Is this typical of this model or have I something to be worried about here?

Many thanks

Grahame

96C? Fry and egg on that bad boy!

96C = 204F for our American friends.

Sounds like how hot my SWR stereo 800 gets.
Just imagine the two together........ FIRE
