Really quick question!

So I'm looking at the Mesa Boogie Powerhouse 410 cabinet and I'm about to buy it... but I can't tell if its 8 ohms 4 ohms or both..... On certain sites it says 4 ohms or 8 ohms.... but for instance on guitarcenter it just says 8 ohms. Anyone know for sure? Anyone else have this cabinet?

You can check with a digital multimeter set to "Ohms". If it reads from around 6Ω and up it's 8Ω under 4Ω it's 4Ω. DC ohms always reads lower than impedance.

Are you buying it new or used ?????

When buying new, you have a choice of impedance.

If buying used, it will be what seller states it is.

They more than likely wire the cabs both ways for what application that you need for your amp.

they come both ways, and will be labeled appropriately at the input jack

yes, it will say what it is right next to the output jacks. More than likely, it'll be an 8 ohm cab, which is what you'd want.

I wouldn't assume 8 ohms is what someone would want...it wouldn't be what I'd want, even if I was running two of them....just sayin'....

I'd want 4 ohms.

Mesa products have plenty of custom options to them, you should be able to choose which amount of impedance you require if you're buying it new.

you're right, but I'd bet in this case, we're talking 4 ohm min head. I've been wrong before.

at any rate, i only meant to sort of imply that it's a bit of a complicated question which one someone would prefer.
