Anybody ever love a piece of gear, but realize it doesn't suite you?
I may be drunk. But it's okay. I'm not a supporting member.
I've got my mom's old Peavey Musician 400 series head. I love it. My mom played the **** out of it through the late 70's and 80's. I recently started using it for my band. The sound is great, but it's too much amp for anything I do. I can't even get it above 9:00 for outdoor gigs, and any venue in town wants to run a DI to FOH.
I already have a vague idea of what to replace it with, but has anybody else had trouble moving beyond a piece of gear that has sentimental value?
Don't sweat the petty things, and don't pet the sweaty things.
