You may want to narrow this down with preferences such as budget limits, size/weight limits, styles. Do you mic to a PA or let the bass rig carry the room?

I recommend a vintage Ampeg SVT or newer SVT-VR vintage reissue amp with a Bergantino NV610 cab. Loud, heavy, and glorious.

Wait a minute.....

SVT is supposed to be the first thing uttered...

Then GK or Mesa.

We've been over this time and time again, I think we need a do over.

For splitting the signal, I jump rather than split. Just go from one place to the next.

Depends on what you need it for, and what you do. Are you planning to gig with it, bedroom, studio, or rehearsal? How much power? What style? What kind of tone are you after?

Phil Jones, which one depends on what you need it for. If money is limited this brand will probably not be for you.

Do you want to rival the din of Thor's Hammer? Or just fluff some butterflies?

Unless you know what my needs are, you can't possibly recommend something for me. The more detail I provide you, the better a recommendation you'll be able to make.

Same is true in the case of basses and amps.

Help us help you.
