Got a new Walkabout Scout 12" combo with a 12" extension cab on the way... anyone got a recommendation for a good hand truck that'd fit the bill and is (a) lightweight, portable, folding, etc, (b) reasonably durable, and (c) cheapish?
Thinking something like this might work, but I've never used anything other than a heavy-duty furniture mover (carpet covered wooden frame w/ casters) and thought some personal experience and recommendations might be useful before I blindly order something. http://www.amazon.com/Magna-Cart-Ide...9771356&sr=8-3

| | | | I bought two of those magna carts for lugging PA gear from/to the trailer, and they’re pretty cool. That’s the one I would have recommended. |

Here is the webiste, have a look and see if you can find them, they are really the best i have had!
I use it a few time a week to lug all my stuff through the London Tube and it has served me well!
It is also exactly as wide as the walkabout which is pretty cool! http://www.wolfcraft.de/jcatalog_gen...1_product.html
PS: the one you posted is pretty horrible! Because it doesnt have a support bar between the wheels it tends to fold back when you hid a bump or a rock, had one and threw it away after a few days....

I love it! A GenzBenz NeoX 212T cab (with wheels built in) and my Genz Benz Shuttle Max 6.0 in a gigbag thrown over my shoulder. Good luck with the cart my friend...but next time you are GASing hard, give the 'Eliminator' some consideration! |

Best piece of gigging gear I've ever bought. The drummer gazes with envy during those late night load outs. http://www.lowes.com/pd_55449-929-30...%3Dhand%2Bcart

Bit heavy but it is heavy duty. Mine is like 9 years old and I beat the crap out of it. Good eal IMO. |

I use a tri-kart 800 that I got from http://www.kart-a-bag.com/html/products.html - it folds up nice and small and holds a ton of gear - plus the handle is high enough that it's easy to balance the load. This cart also has fold-down back wheels to hold the load at angle. |

I bought one of these at sears for $25 about 2 years ago. I use it for music and work. I haul 2 50gal buckets or my bucket full of tools or whatever. It's tough, folds flat and very portable.
My boss saw me use it and had me get one for all our salesmen. It's always in the car. http://www.sears.com/shc/s/p_10153_1...1&blockType=G1 |

I used to use them for work to take equipment to product demos. They fold flat like 1.5" thick so they will go between anything / on top of everything.
When I bought my walkabout 12 there was a built-in cart attached to the side. For the 12 it wasn't necessary but the PO had a back problem. Now that I have a 15 and 12, I've been thinking about putting it on the 15, but it'll get in the way of the cover and I don't think you could move it with the cover.
I'm thinking I'll go your route. Quote:

Works fine though..... |

Folds flat, air tyres (a must), carries up to 250 kilos. Bands to hold the stuff you put on it. Incredibly versatile. |

This cart also has fold-down back wheels to hold the load at angle. | I suggest the Super600 version of this cart (it is basically the same cart without the tilt back wheels). The stair walkers are great, so you can easily get over curbs and a few steps without unloading. Best cart made... period. It will cost a lot more than the other low end stuff, but WAY worth it. Nice bungee tie downs, super sturdy, and folds up to almost nothing. It should be tall enough for the Walkabout 12 and extension.
