I have looked over most cabs in my price range. <$500 each. I'm not looking to spend a month(s) (or two ) amount of work on a couple cabs. So far my top contender is a Carvin BR115.
Other cabs I have looked at:
GK 115 MBE-II
Ashdown MAG 115-T
Acoustic B115 MK II
Peavey Headliner 115
Genz Benz FCS-115T
GK NEO 115-III
Ashdown VS-115-200
Epifani PS 115
Hartke AK115
My current set up:
SR505 > Green Rhino > Bass Fuzz Deluxe > GK 800RB (treble boost filter, boosted high and low mids)
I play exclusively rock music right now. I like a mid-heavy EQ.
Thank you in advance, and I'll be sure to check in often for questions and comments. |

I would give the G-K NEO115 III a serious test ride.

NVM, I can see port holes on the Ampeg website.

Why buy 2 "okay" cabs when you can buy 1 "bad ass" cab that trumps the need for 2 cabs. |

| | | | i like carvin because you can pick your speaker ohm and power handling.i bought the br115 and upgraded the 400w speaker to the 600w.i told them make it 4ohm so now i have a compact rig that can handle my hartke LH500 head that puts out 500w at 4ohms.the br115 was $299 and the upgraded speaker was $80 dollars more. |

I have been looking at Carvin for a while, and that's why they are my number one contender as of right now, but the SVT 115E that was recommended looks pretty darned good too. |

Yay for tax time! |

You play with your eyes great for you! I have a crowd to please.

Specs: Frequency Resp. (-3dB): 4Hz-19kHz
4Hz! That can't be right. Can it!? |

I do classic rock and blues, all with 5 stringers (one w/flats, one w/Nickels), and I personally love the tone from them. Very old-school but surprisingly bright without the neo-mid-honk (it's ceramic). No problems with a B string even by itself. http://www.guitarcenter.com/Ampeg-Po...87-i2469514.gc
Getting ready to order another one for a portable 2x15 death machine.
I also hear good things about the sealed PF-115HE, but I have not personally tried one.
Nothing wrong with Carvin either. I've had a few different ones and they've all been great.

Your not alone in liking the PF-115LF.
