Recommend a quality amp that can be carried to gigs? ~£1k

Hey everyone. I'm looking to save about around £1,000 to buy an amp head and a cab. They need to be small enough that I can carry both on foot to a gig along with a bass, but I want to get as much power and versatility of tone as I can, as I'll be gigging around London with bands of various genres.

I was eyeing up the TC Electronics RH 450, looks a good size but it's a bit expensive, the head and cab being just under a grand each. But I'm still shopping around, and was wondering if anyone could suggest some good amps to check out.

Not necesarrily any specifics but a micro head and a 210 cab is what you'd be best with. The Ashdown heads are quite good (forgot their name) and if i remember correctly arent that much over here in the UK.

Edit: The amps i was talking about are the Ashdown Little Giant series

The Genz-Benz Shuttle 6.0 is a head that weighs 3.75 pounds, and there is a dock for it on the G-B T12 speaker so they make a combo. Total weight of head and speaker is 36 pounds and with one T12 speaker the head is rated 375 Watts. There are a number of threads on TB about the Shuttle 3.0, 6.0 and 9.0 series.

I switched to this from a single 15" speaker and love it. It's the most power with the lightest weight you will find, so it can keep up with pretty much any band. The build quality and sound are superb. I don't know that I'd like to carry 36 pounds of combo plus a bass very far, but it would be easy to use a folding cart.

I believe Carvin is shipping overseas now. You could get one of the new MB micro combos for around $400 USD.

Otherwise I would look at either Genz Benz Shuttle or the GK MB500 head and a 2x10 neo cabinet.

I second Pilgrim's suggestion. That Genz Benz Shuttle 6.0 with the 1x12 Genz Benz cab are the ticket! You could buy both used for less than you budget. Best wishes from across the pond!
