Seriously I think you would like the ART for how powerful the eq is. I think it would play nice with upright. The tonehammer is an amazing pre/di/stomp box. I really dig the range of tone I get out of it, and how versatile it is.

I think I'd dig it as well...been thinking of having two smaller pres and an a/b switcher for doubling gigs, but I'll take another look at the ART as well THANKS!

Some negative reviews say it's noisy. Have you found that not to be the case?

I find neither the ART PC II or the TH to be noisy.

I really dig all the places I can run my hpf-3 in loop on it too.

I just know the mp gives me a healthy boost. Sounds great I haven't been this impressed with a pre since my portacon. Robust.

You can bypass the EQ anyway. Or use it to boost your sinal for solo.

When doing a festival I often have my rig on stage for the other bassmen. I just allow them to mess around with the graphic EQ. So my sound stays untouched.

So btw the SVP Pro is the 1:1 pre of the SVT II Pro. Is there anybody that has the balls to say that this amp or its pre is crap....?

Solid state power + tube pre is novel rig. I think this works for me. Next mission is to see if the Eden 210 is loud enough to replace 410.

There is no replacement for displacement.

Because you are using a power amp set up you could check out some of the "super 12's" out there to minimize size yet preserve volume.

If you find Art PC-II unit noisy - assure all the ribbon cables are clean and tight and the grounding screw on the main board is tweaked in good and solid.

IMO the PC-II the best bang for the buck channel-strip / bass preamp proposition out there = great EQ, true hi-voltage tube circuit [not starved plate], usable compressor, nice meter array, very low cost.

Tube stuff sounds good at high volume.

I appreciate that 20db bump button. I'm pushing my amp.

The art tube mp studio v3 has voice settings--assuming that's preset equalization. I'd like to hear it.

Supposedly the 210 is loud enough. I wouldn't mind a 12 if it sounded good.
