JerryD | It appears there's no local stores in Florida you can snag one (surprised Bass Central isn't on their list), but here's a list of their dealers online: http://www.transaudiogroup.com/uploa...gnsDealers.pdf
So I did tonight's gig opening for the Lovin' Spoonful for two shows at a small theater, and I got to hear Steve Boone all night through my REDDI and B-15 stack. Wasn't sure if he was going to freak out over only having 25w, but he was super stoked. He said that was his first good amp when he started with the Spoonful in the mid 60's but back then it wasn't enough, and it was the first time in years that he gigged with one. He used an Ibanez BTB 4-string and played really light and turned it up a little louder than me, and boy do I love hearing someone as great as he is rock my rig. Not a real fancy player, but he's got a killer groove for their bag and he wrote or co-wrote some of their biggest stuff. Got a great mix with a nice big bottom end that was never overbearing, onstage or off.
First time I ever heard someone else play my B-15 stack, too. Usually I bring them an SVT but mine's in the shop. Got an absolutely perfect mix both onstage and off. Didn't have a big sound system but big enough, and it was about dead on perfect no matter where you were in the house. They played great and their harmonies were dead-on. Still one of my big favorites after all these years.

| | | | Sharing Hi Guys,
I feel I have to share this with someone cause I feel like a school girl on prom night
I received a call from an old friend of mine the other day and he was talking with a gentleman while on the phone with me.
My friend asked if I could talk with this person and see what we could do to help him out.
So I spoke with him and he seemed like he was from out of town with a Brit accent.
He told me who he was...........Wix........so I say okay, what can I do for you?
He wanted to come by and take a look at some gear for a studio he was building back home in the UK.
Sure, come on by cause your just down the road and I'll show you what we have.
About a 1/2 hour later he shows up with his friend DJ and we start talking about what he needs. During that talk I find out that he is the Keyboard player for Paul McCartney.
NOW there is this dream I have of getting a REDDI to McCartney and this was the perfect time to do that.
One thing lead to another and I asked Wix what were the chances of doing this.
Long and short guess who will be getting a REDDI soon
Can't wait to see how this all plays out I won't know anything until after Feb 2013 BUT it was an experience I will never forget and a dream that MIGHT come true!
Just had to tell someone! |

I check each time I remove it from the case, to see the dial has not moved.

EDIT: Sorry...didn't see you said EUB at first. My upright is an actual 3/4 size plywood, but it does have a piezo pickup

| | | | Thank you! Thanks Guys for all the well wishes.
I have tons of famous people using the REDDI but having the guy who got me going in the first place "playing bass" is well just a nice thing for me.
I was jazzed when Reggie Hamilton, Paul Turner, and Stanley Clark had the REDDIs and it just keeps growing
Never thought it would happen ............ with all the DIs out there today.
Fingers are crossed and next year can't come fast enough
I guess you just move on from there.
BUT it's been everyone on this Forum that have done the best and that is the most I could ever hope for.
So, just to say THANK YOU isn't good enough but it is the best I can do.
Again.............thank you! |

| | | Peter, an endorsement from Wix alone would be great. He's an awesome musician.
I hope that you didn't just say that you wanted Paul to have the REDDI. Wix's first name is also Paul. He might have inferred that you meant it was for him.
Just kidding.
David

I was a computer programmer for 15 years or so, doing the corporate/professional thing. Well, I had had my fill of that around the 12-13 year mark. I finally abruptly quit that wildly successful job in order to find a way a making music a bigger part of my life. My parents freaked out a little bit early on; my Mom actually suggested that I was "dropping out of society". LOL. They soon came around, though, so much so that my Mom is always actively fishing for customers for me now. One day she was at her weekly mah-jong game, and she got to talking to another woman about how I'd walked away from a perectly good job to pursue a career with more music content to it. The woman says, "well, my son did the same thing". Turns out this woman's son is the current drummer for Paul McCartney. LOL. Mom did her best to turn Paul McCartney onto Rocket Music. It never went anywhere, but it sure is a small world!
Anyway, I'm currently laying the basic tracks for my annual Christmas tune, and the REDDI and the P1 preamp are a big part of it. Here's me playing a Roscoe Century Standard Plus 5-String fretless though that signal chain. Please pardon my intonation on the melody track, I'm worthless above the 12th fret. I also programmed the drums and played the Rhodes part, for whatever that's worth (not much!!). "Over The River And Through The Woods" (Complete Mix) "Over The River And Through The Woods" (Rhthym Tracks) "Over The River And Through The Woods" (Bass Tracks - all FX & EQ removed) "Over The River And Through The Woods" (Melody Tracks - all FX & EQ removed) |

That point is just easy to remember for me so i can repeat the same level each day... Only once i was asked if I could lower it..
About 9 o'clock is equal to my old Type 85 countryman.. And i like to goose it up a little.. 12 high seems about right for
me. Quote:

David | Hi David,
Yeah, that would be something BUT I was pretty clear about it!
He seems like a great guy and very down to earth. |
