In Regards To an Improper Reference...

... I'd made in a thread to someone I bought an amplifier from, I just thought I'd finish it on a better note.

The guy (doesn't matter anymore) finally did get back and send the amp. It had me red-flagging after 4 months, so I made what I knew to be an awkward move and posted his name here. I have no shame, I know this, and was pretty annoyed at what I perceived to be flagrant arrogance... which I don't actually have... anyway I was ultimately wrong and all is well, we fixed it and he's actually a good guy- better than me. He does kinda make me look well-organized, but nobody's perfect! I stand down; should have just dropped it and he would've come through in the end.

It's always good to correct past mistakes and try to make amends. We're all human and subject to human frailties. I'm as bad as any other.

I appreciate the comments on accounts of my 'friend' and myself...

I've taken the opportunity to quote my OP, to make clear a couple things that don't look quite right to me now! Not that it'll matter much, but I like clarity:
