Reggae Rig with Genz Benz cabs....help me choose

Need some advise on a cab purchase
1st a little history.
My main rig for the last 8 years or so has been a gbe600 with a 500 watt XB2 410 and a neo212t. The head is 8 years old as is the 410, the 212 was bought shortly after they came out. I love the tone and reliability of this rig. I've never had a single issue with any piece and so I'd like to stick with GB for this upgrade. I just want an amp that will really fill any room with that HUGE reggae sound. I don't care about weight or how many trips to the truck I have to make. My drummy is huge and he's a mover.......works out well..

I just bought a gbe1200. I plan to buy a higher wattage cab to replace my 410. I'm stuck at this point. I want to maximize the 1200's power into the most appropriate cab for deep down reggae lows.

So what would the collective say would be the best cab out of the GB lineup. I do plan on using the 212 as well. I'm leaning towards the uber 410...

I play a warwick fna jazzman 5er, fingerstyle. about half our gig locations end up not having sufficient subs to bother with. We do have a qsc 18 powered sub that we use for a kick monitor placed between drummy and myself, occasionally I experiment with running through that and love the extra bottom end it gives, thats what I'm looking for in my rig, but 18's seem to be obsolete in rigs these days.

any other cabs out there have a history for being great for reggae??

A quick side note about GB.
My band recently opened for a fairly big reggae group. We provided the back line. The headliners had a backline requirement list and the bass amp was supposed to be an Ampeg something or other. I told the promoter that I thought the bassy would be plenty happy with my GB rig... well after the headliners finished bassy told me he's gonna scratch out ampeg on the backline list and start requesting GB rigs!!
He had never heard of GB before, guess their not big in Jamaica........yet!!

Thanks for the help

I'd probably roll with a couple Uber 212s based on what I've read about them.

Agreed. A pair of these should do nicely. My other recommedation would be an XB3 series cab. Having played the Uber and XB3 series cabs, the XB3 is a little more classic sounding and a little more bottom focused. The Uber will pump out the lows, but it's a little thicker through the low-mids rather than the low-lows.

Whatever way you go, you can't go wrong with Genz cabs IMO

obligatory +1 for any mention of a GB Uber 212. One is great, 2 would be awesome.

What about one 212 uber and my neo212?

I thought i wanted more like a 1000watt handling to justify the 1200 but maybe 2 600's would do???

I know what I want, a GB neo18 4 ohm 1000 watt for under a grand now snap to it GB

If I were playing Reggae, I'd either pickup a new or used GB610T-XB2 cab or a new GB410T-XB3. Both are 4 ohms so you'll get 1000 watts out of your GBE1200.
