Replace speaker in Cabinet

Sign in to disble this ad
This will probably just sound stupid, but hey ho!

basically, in the product manual of my Hartke 410TP, it says the lowest frequency the speakers can handle is 40Hz. would it be possible to replace just one of the speakers, with one that can handle 30Hz (which I am told is the Freq. of a Low B). i dont use the Low b much, but it would be nice if it sounds a little better.

Anyway, would this be possible, and is it actually likely to make difference?

I'm not worried about it looking daft by the other 3 aluminium cones.

No, and no, and if you sift through the FAQs you'll find why even 40Hz response isn't required for 5 stringers.

+1 I see what you're trying to do, but as already said, no, it won't work, and also, it's not necessary.
