Replace tweeter on Ampeg BA115?

The tweeter on my Ampeg BA115 went flake and started distorting badly, so I disconnected it. I'm thinking of replacing it.

Anyone been there? Recommendations?

Been there. Done that. Would do it again. I just ordered a new tweeter from my local Ampeg repair place. Removed screws and the tweeter and screwed the new one in. No fuss no mess.

Thanks. Yeah it's easy enough to get to. What did the new one cost?

Is there a better one to use for replacement? The original seems pretty cheapo.
