Replacing a fan in a Peavey Tmax head

Sign in to disble this ad
Since I will be cracking this thing open soon to replace the tube, I thought I may be able to change out the fan. Its getting very annoying as loud as it is.

Has anyone replaced a fan in Tmax? I understand the originals were loud right out of the box. Would there be a better fan available somewhere?

Thanx

check comp usa. of course you will have to verify measurements and power requirements. the best thing to do would be to take your existing fan with you.

The fan will run you about $40 from Peavey. I replaced mine with a $10 unit that I couldn't possibly find on the internet again for you...sorry. Even so, the one I bought isn't all that much quieter. The guy above is right, find one at a computer store matching the specs.
