The panel mount speakon connector has started flaking out, and i need to order a new one. Anyone know which part to order?

I don't think you'll need to order it - any electronic components place should have them in stock. I suppose you could disconnect the old one and take it with you just to be sure. I recently changed the xlr speaker socket of my old TE head for a speakon and the socket only cost me £1:50 - about two bucks or something for you. Make sure you note which wire goes to which pin - the standard is positive to 1 plus and negative to 1 minus.

Take out the old one, compare it to the pictures (front and rear) on this page:

SPEAKON / HPC from Parts Express ship same day and come with 45 day money back guarantee. Free Shipping Available. Order free 10,000 product catalog.

-order the one which matches best. 2-pole and 4-pole are obviously different on the rear view, match the connectors (tab or screw-on).

Use the NL4 version. It seem to have become pretty much the standard.

Wire to +1 and -1.

If you use the two pole socket you will not be able to make use of any cable with a 4 pole plug.
