I don't mean this in a bad way at all but as much as Flea talks about how he's in it for the music, he's also in it for the money. He left EBMM because they wouldn't give him a signature bass and Modulus would. Not sure why he left Modulus, maybe because Fleabass gave him an entire brand instead of just a few models.
Next you'll see Flea-amp

Deals are often done on a case-by-case basis. Each case has many variables. In this particular instance, you have a player with world name recognition who's (apparently) going to be touring in a country where disposable income is increasing at a mind-boggling rate. It's always been my belief that the majority of these new US-made models will be sold overseas; that's where the money is these days, after all. So, it makes sense to get the kit some exposure in those markets. |
