reseal my cabinet with what ?

Sign in to disble this ad
had to open my sealed 6x10 Sonic Cabinet to replace some speakers and now there is all sorts of air leakage - what is the preferred way to seal this while still being able to take the speakers in and out ? - (also leakage and farting noises from behind the the tweeters and back plate jack)

For front mount speakers, get some gasket tape and apply to the speaker rings where they make contact with the cab. If your cab leaks at its seams, you may have a major project ahead of you. I'd prefer to reseal/glue all the seams with PL Premium which will not only seal, but also reinforce all the joins. For handles, jack plates, etc. silicone caulk works well.
